September Tips:
Specificity of Training

"Now that the big day is a month away, it becomes more important than ever to practice what you plan to do on race day. Just as an athlete in any other sport practices a specific play or routine over and over until it’s second nature, so should you. Here are some of the more important things to practice:

Adequate sleep 2 nights before – The amount of sleep you get weeks before is more important than the final few days. But, if that’s a tall order given your busy lifestyle, the amount of sleep you get 2 nights before the race is more important than the night before. 2 nights before your remaining long runs, make it a priority to get adequate sleep..."
